Single Sign-On
Problem: Toro provides many secured web sites to their distributors, dealers, and partners. Unfortunately each web site has its own security system which requires users to remember several user I.D.s and passwords.
Solution: Twin Cities Solutions worked with Toro to implement Sun Java System Access Manager which provides single sign-on for Toro's distributors, dealers, and other partners. The project has included: design of the LDAP schema, configuration of the web servers, migrating all of the extranet user accounts from MySQL to an LDAP-based authentication system, creation of web sites to administer the user accounts, and migrating affected web applications to use LDAP for user information instead of the old legacy MySQL database.
