Problem:New product development
Solution: OneVue had a need for additional development expertise for their new VuePoint software package, an order processing, customer, and catalog management system. We provided expertise in WinForm development to OneVue to bring new functionality and reports to their software package. Along with additional reports, we extended the reporting framework to accept additional data sources as well as extended the reporting framework to supply additional outputs/extracts. These extracts were used to interrogate sales information and build demographic models to help maximize sales and maximize the value of the system. We also provided a financial analysis solution to allow users to reconcile sales and credit card processing data before being fed into customers’ ERP systems. Also, with new development of core business components were being re-written, we provided a testing framework using nUnit to allow developers to perform automatic regression testing thus shortening the software change implementation cycle.

Automatic Updating
Problem:OneVue needed an efficient way of deploying updates of their software suite on to their customers’ servers.
Solution:Twin Cities Solutions provided a configurable scheduled service that would poll OneVue’s corporate support server from their customers’ network over the internet to determine if software updates to the VuePoint platform were available for download. Using a simple remote versioning check system and internet streaming, updates were efficiently delivered to customers when necessary.
